Football has been the constant rhythm of my life since I was seven years old, kicking a half-deflated ball against the courtyard wall of our apartment block in Kayseri. Growing up in a city where football is more than a pastime — it is identity, community, and passion — I fell in love with the game not just as a player, but as a student of its drama, tactics, and the stories hidden behind every result. Saturday evenings meant gathering around the television with my father to watch Süper Lig highlights, dissecting every goal and every mistake long after the final whistle.

Over the years I followed football obsessively — from the back streets of Turkish football to the grand stages of Champions League nights in Madrid and Munich. I watched the game evolve, tactics shift, and entire footballing philosophies rise and fall. I read every column I could find, argued in coffee shops and stadium stands, and filled notebooks with my own analysis. What I realised, gradually, was that the stories I wanted to read — honest, deeply felt, culturally aware writing about football — were rarely the ones being published. That gap was the seed of trfootballblog.

I launched this blog because football deserves writing that treats it as the living, breathing art form it truly is. I am not a journalist by training — I am a supporter, a reader, and a writer who believes that a perfectly timed through-ball or a manager's half-time substitution can be as worth analysing as any piece of high culture. Every article I publish here carries the same energy I felt watching my first live match at Kadir Has Stadium: raw, honest, and completely in love with the beautiful game.

What We Stand For

Our Mission & Values

Three principles that shape every article, every opinion and every word published on trfootballblog.

01
No agenda. Just football.

Independent Perspective

trfootballblog is built on a single promise: you'll never read a press-release disguised as an opinion here. No corporate sponsors pulling strings, no club PR shaping narratives. Every take, every verdict, every match rating comes straight from a genuine fan who has lived and breathed this game for decades. When a manager deserves criticism, they get it. When an underdog deserves flowers, we throw them. Raw, honest, unfiltered — the way football conversation should be.

02
Tactics, patterns, proof.

Deep Analysis

Surface-level recaps belong on the back page of a free newspaper. trfootballblog goes further — every post-match piece dissects shape, pressing triggers, positional rotations and the small moments that decide big games. Expect heat maps described in plain language, comparisons across seasons, and arguments backed by evidence rather than vibes. Whether it's a high-press transition or a set-piece routine, the 'why' always matters more than the scoreline.

03
From Istanbul to Wembley.

Global Coverage

The beautiful game doesn't stop at the Premier League border. trfootballblog tracks the drama in the Süper Lig, the tactical laboratories of the Bundesliga, the romance of the Copa Libertadores, and the theatre of a Champions League final all with the same level of care and curiosity. If a story matters to football, it matters here — regardless of continent, TV market or star power. Because great football happens everywhere, and every story deserves to be told.

"Football is the greatest story ever told — and it never stops writing itself. trfootballblog exists to make sure none of those stories go untold."
